Welcome to the SCUP 2025 Excellence Awards
The SCUP Excellence Awards is now in its 25th year of recognizing projects that have demonstrated how strategic, integrated planning results in exemplary buildings, grounds, institutional success, and careers that are an inspiration.
This program is a juried competition open to professional service providers and institutions that have prepared designs or plans for two-year and four-year colleges, universities, academic medical and research centers, and public or private institutions
Entries are accepted from SCUP member and nonmember consultants or institutions.
Submittals for all eight categories must be made by a team including the institution and the planner, landscape architect, or architect professional(s).
Architecture projects must have been completed and occupied since January 1, 2020.

Photography requirements:
If submitting for the following categories: Building Additions, Renovation, Adaptive Reuse, Rehabilitation, Restoration or Preservation, please place the “Before” image on top of your “After” image (inset, in a smaller size). This enables the judges to see the impact of the change. If you opt to provide separate before and after images, make sure they are clearly labeled within the Caption Box as “Before” and “After” and uploaded in sequential order. (example: Classroom Before and Classroom After)
- Note: Collage Images depicting several photos are acceptable
- Upload digital images in JPG file format preferred
- Unless requested, all images must be 72 dpi
